Count Occurrences with std::map

Write a function int countOccurrences(const vector<int>& nums, int target) that builds a map<int,int> of value to count, then returns the count stored for target (0 if it never appears). Include <map>.

Do NOT write a main function.

Expected Output:

0↵

= newline. The output ends with a newline — print one after the last line.
