HTML
Headers and Paragraphs
TextStep 1. Start the HTML document
Inside your index.html file, type this single line:
<!DOCTYPE html>This tells the browser that the file is an HTML page. Save the file, then open it in your browser.
Step 2. Add the opening and closing <html> tags
Now let’s add the <html> tag. Everything that makes up your webpage will go inside this tag.
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
</html>Step 3. Add the <head> section
Now, inside the <html> tag, add a <head> section. The <head> holds information about the page that the browser needs, even though it doesn’t show directly on the screen.
For example, the <title> tag sets the text that appears in the browser tab. We can also add a <meta> tag with charset="UTF-8" so the browser knows how to handle letters and symbols correctly.
